When money is tight, people tend to cut things from their budget like eating out, and giving to charities.
But now, there’s a new way to dine–and donate–at the same time.
The concept is pretty simple. Every time you eat in a participating restaurant, the restaurant essentially donates the equivalent of an inexpensive meal to a participating charity.
You fill your belly, you help someone in need fill theirs, but that donation doesn’t cost you a penny.
One of the first to get on board with the concept is the Minneapolis restaurant “George & the Dragon.” Starting January 1st, owner Fred Novarro is taking the unusual step of donating 50 cents to charity for every single meal he sells here.
